BEACHES
Magnificent beaches that highlight the beautiful diversity of the island appeal lots of travelers. The Red beach may be the most popular and visited of them, due to its unique red landscape with the pebbly sand. It’s located in Akrotiri, close to its archaeological settlement. Next to the Red beach but in constrast with it, lies the White beach among the white cliffs with black pebbles on the shore. On the southeast of Fira, you will find Kamari beach with the black sand and the humongous Mesa Vouno rock. It’s a very crowded beach, family friendly with crystal waters. However, for the privacy hunters, Santorini boasts isolated beaches with stunning landscapes, such as Cape Columbo beach. Situated 8.5 km from Fira, it doesn’t boast any sunbeds or cafes. Near the beach, there’s the most active crater of the island which makes the waters are really hot.
